Romance in Wine Country

Romance in Wine Country

Looking for a romantic getaway in Washington’s wine country to celebrate Valentine’s Day, a special anniversary or birthday?  The Yakima Valley has plenty of options, from bed and breakfast to boutique hotel to winery stays. Here are six of the most romantic accommodations in the Yakima Valley:

Alexandria Nicole Cellars Tiny Houses

Go “glamping” at Destiny Ridge Vineyard in these quaint, modern tiny houses surrounded by vineyards overlooking the Columbia River.  Bring the makings for a romantic dinner and take advantage of the fine wine on tap available in the Jet Black Tiny House. Relax, unwind and enjoy each others company with this secluded getaway experience!

Cozy Rose Inn

Located in the center of Yakima Valley wine country, the Cozy Rose has been recommended as one of The Northwest's Best Places to Kiss by Romantic America! Take a walk through the family vineyards and orchard, and enjoy the park-like grounds of the inn. For the budget conscious, take advantage of the mid- week rate, Sunday through Wednesday  nights, stay at the Cozy Rose for just $179 per night, and get FREE wine and chocolate upon arrival!  Call (509) 882-4669 and mention the Visit Yakima special rate! (excludes holidays)

Rosedell Bed & Breakfast

Want to stay in a real castle? This Neo-Classical home is located in a historic residential neighborhood just outside of Downtown Yakima. The building resembles a castle, built of locally quarried sandstone, complete with a turret. You can even stay in the turret room, with a view of the tree-shaded park-like grounds below. This bed and breakfast is only a five minute drive or a 15 minute walk from Downtown Yakima’s restaurants, wineries and entertainment.

Hotel Maison

Book a boutique hotel stay in Downtown Yakima!  Yakima’s newest hotel is actually a carefully renovated Masonic Lodge, and features stunning displays of the original architecture, along with local artwork and photography. Take advantage of their special Couple's Spa Package with an overnight stay and massage! (expires March 15).  Located in the center of Downtown Yakima, simply park the car and stroll to a romantic dinner at the Carousel French Cuisine or one of the numerous other restaurants, then head out wine tasting or take in a show at The Capitol Theater!

Birchfield Manor Country Inn

Spend a night in the country in this historic brick manor house which was once the focal point of a 15,000 acre sheep ranch in 1910.  The carefully restored home features Victorian styled rooms updated with modern conveniences. Birchfield Manor has a reputation for the amazing multi-course dinners they serve on weekends and holidays, using only locally sourced, fresh ingredients in their amazing offerings. If you want to spend the day wine tasting, Yakima Valley wine country is less than 20 minutes away. Taste sparkling wines from nearby Treveri Cellars, fine reds from Owen Roe or wine from the many wineries on the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail.

Desert Wind Winery

Offering four exclusive Southwest-inspired rooms at their winery, discover why they were Travel + Leisure Magazine’s pick for lodging in the Yakima Valley, and why The Oregonian called them a "grand luxury experience." And the best part is you’ll be just steps away from some of the numerous wineries that Prosser has become  known for!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so book your stay early for an unforgettable stay in Yakima Valley’s wine country!
