Don't Forget the Marshmallows!

Don't Forget the Marshmallows!

Time to get close to Nature! Let’s go camping! How about renting a cabin? Elk Ridge Campground is the perfect spot for a family getaway or reunion. Cabins are available for rent year round. Choose your season and rent one of the 9 cabins or 20 adjacent RV sites. There is also a large meadow for tents.

Reconnect with nature under the pines as you wade in the nearby Naches River. What could be better than placing your lawn chair in the cooling waters and casting a line out to see what you catch or reading a good book?  Have a picnic, watch the river flow and leave all the stress behind.

Elk Ridge Campground is situated along the Chinook Pass Scenic Byway (HiWay 410). The Chinook Pass Scenic Byway is one of the 4 scenic byways that lead to the Yakima Valley. Need to make a run for groceries? The Elk Ridge Campground is located only 30 minutes from Yakima, less to the small town of Naches. Looking to dine out? The campground is close to the WoodShed Restaurant.  Friday and Saturday evenings feature live music starting at 7pm on the outside patio. Enjoy home-style cooking serving breakfast , lunch and dinner. There is a lounge to play darts and enjoy watching televised sporting events.

There are year round recreation opportunities along the byway, such as scenic viewpoints, opportunities for boating at Bumping Lake, horseback riding, mountain biking, wildflower viewing,  wildlife watching, off-road vehicles, cross country skiing & snowshoeing, hiking and more. Boulder Cave  is one great family hike that is nearby and you may even see a small waterfall above the cave entrance.

At the end of the day as the family gathers around the campfire (Restrictions -pressurized liquid gas stoves ok) and reflects on the fun of the day…Don’t forget the marshmallows.
