New Brewery and Boutique Hotel open up in Yakima Valley!

New Brewery and Boutique Hotel open up in Yakima Valley!

We always love it when new businesses open up in the Yakima Valley, and were thrilled to start 2016 with some exciting new endeavors!

Looking for a boutique hotel in Yakima? Hotel Maison is the newest hotel in the heart of Downtown Yakima. Built by the Masons in 1911 as a Masonic Temple, the newly renovated hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places. The original ceremonial lodge is still located on the sixth floor, and will be renovated to be used as a public meeting space. Built around historic elegance with modern convenience, Hotel Maison features spacious rooms styled with classic architecture, custom photography by local artists and tons of special amenities that showcase our Valley.

The Hotel Maison is just steps away from numerous Downtown events, such as First Fridays, Yakima Sunday Farmers Market, Hot Shots 3-on-3 Basketball Torunament, Cinco De Mayo Festival, Fresh Hop Ale Festival, Summer Concerts and more. Stroll along Yakima Avenue to a nearby winery or brewery, dine at one of the many downtown restaurants, take in a show or concert at 4th St. Theatre or The Seasons Performance Hall, or just relax at the Ummelina Day Spa right downstairs. Staying at Hotel Maison, means you’ll be in the center of everything!

Bron Yr-Aur Brewing Co. celebrated its grand opening on New Year’s Day 2016!  Bron Yr-Aur (pronounced “Bron Rar”) is Welsh for “Golden Hills” which is a very fitting description of the view out of their new facility. The new building is a rustic brew house and taproom which contains a large 10 barrel system. They currently have their Beaver Deceiver Cream Ale, Gentlemen's Stout, NIPA (Naches IPA), and IRA on tap. Better yet, try the tasters to find the one you like best. In addition to their own specialty brews there is a rotating selection of craft beer available, with 10 different beer taps and 4 taps of hard cider from the Pacific Northwest. Bring the whole family for their delicious hand-crafted pizza. You’ve never had homemade crust like theirs, made fresh daily from their secret recipe, hand-tossed and cooked in a brick oven. Make a plan to stop and check out Bron Yr-Aur brews and pizza the next time you come from skiing at White Pass or are traveling over Chinook Pass in the summer.

There’s a lot going on in the New Year already, so come visit Yakima and help these new businesses get kicked 2016 off right!
