Breakfast is on us!

Breakfast is on us!

No matter why you’re visiting the Yakima Valley, everyone needs to start the day with a delicious breakfast!  And not to worry, because we’ve got you covered!  Choose from a breakfast-with-a-view, an all-you-can-eat-buffet, a 50’s-style diner, an authentic Irish pub or more!

2nd Street Grill

In the heart of Downtown Yakima, this local favorite features lots of breakfast classics, including several types of omelets, along with some new favorites, such as huevos rancheros and Pigs on a Stick!  By the way, breakfast is only served on Saturdays and Sundays. And when the weather is nice, make sure and sit outside and enjoy the morning sunshine!

Apple Tree Resort Grill

Enjoy breakfast with a view! The beautiful restaurant overlooks the rolling terrain of a 100 year-old apple orchard, along with the apple-shaped island green of the golf course. Local favorites are the Country and Garden Lovers’ omelets, the eggs benedict or the traditional egg breakfast. Breakfast is served daily, and there’s a brunch buffets every Sunday!

Bob’s Burger &  Brews

Who knew a burger place could make such a great breakfast? They feature a Sunday brunch buffet, Bob’s famous “Made-to-Order” omelet bar, along with a ton of classics, such as eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, fresh Belgian waffles with assorted toppings, Bob's humongous French toast, a variety of freshly made pastries and much more!

Casa Vittore Café

A coffee shop on Yakima Avenue that specializes in the authentic flavors of Guadalajara, this is the place to go for a sweet crepes’ brunch!  Design your own by choosing from fillings of Nutella, maple, strawberry, or banana, then top with almonds, walnuts, coconut or caleta!

 

McGuire's Irish Restaurant & Pub

You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy a plate so full you won’t need to eat for the rest of the day! We highly recommend the corned beef hash and eggs. It’s an Irish classic!

Mel’s Diner

A 50′s style diner that is a Yakima icon! It’s where the locals go for breakfast! Offering all your favorites, such as eggs, hash browns, toast, pancakes and much more!                                                      

Old Country Buffet

You can’t go wrong with all-you-can-eat! Choose from extensive hot and cold breakfast choices, including eggs, pancakes, waffles and assorted pastries. Conveniently located in Union Gap, right next to the Valley Mall.                                                                     

Powerhouse Grill

This local favorite offers huge portions and prices that won’t break the bank! The selections are endless! They offer specials such as Apple Cinnamon stuffed French toast as well as tons of breakfast favorites, like eggs, toast,  potatoes, scrambles, and more!

Woodshed at Eagle Rock Resort

Located on State Route 410, this quaint little restaurant has been around since the 1940’s, serving the local community and travelers all the traditional breakfast favorites and more! Make sure and try the Rainbow Trout served with eggs, hashbrowns and toast, the Smoked Salmon Benedict, or a custom-built omelet!

 

 

Want to grab an espresso and a little something to eat on-the-go?                      

Don’s Donuts & Julie’s Java!

A bakery/cafe that fresh makes donuts, bagels, espresso, sandwiches, baked cinnamon rolls, and more!  But if you want to order extras, you better hurry!  This is a local favorite and they can be pretty busy!

Essencia Artisan Bakery

Conveniently located in Downtown Yakima, this local favorite opens at 6:00 a.m., so you can get your morning espresso and baked goodies early! They also offer specialty sandwiches and salads for lunch, along with loaves of freshly baked bread to take home.  Don’t forget to take a moment to look at the local art on the walls!

Lincoln Avenue Coffee Co.

Often referred to as the “Best Espresso” in town, their locally roasted coffee beans make up their fresh coffee, lattes, iced drinks, breakfast cookies and specialty oatmeal. Take the quick drive-thru or go inside to the small sit-in area. A favorite with the kiddos, try the Creamsicle Italian Soda!

Nana Kate’s

If you’re passing through Selah, stop in and get your fill of sweet or savory puff pastry pockets or gluten free goodies to go with your morning espresso. Kate provides a wide range of gluten, paleo and dairy free options. Best of all, you can give her a call and your lunch will be delivered to you!

NorthTown Coffee House

Located in the Historic Front Street section of Downtown Yakima, NorthTown inhabits the Northern Pacific Ralroad Depot, a spacious renovated train station with a sunny room full of huge windows and brick floors, lots of tables and comfy seating, and historic train station pictures on the walls. Offering free Wi-Fi and serving Stumptown Coffee, homemade gelato, real soda in bottles, pastries, desserts, and grab-and-go food items, this is a perfect place to get together or have a date over coffee!

8th Street Bistro

Located in the Holiday Inn Downtown hotel, this full-service restaurant offers breakfast every day!  And outdoor dining is a must from spring through fall. Hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Try one of their unique dishes, such as Portuguese Sausage and Eggs or Bacon and Caramel Pancakes!

Red Lion Hotel

Hotel guests enjoy the signature hot Roaring Start Breakfast Buffet, which includes various juices, breakfast breads, pancakes, bagels, assorted cereals, yogurt, a signature egg dish, bacon, sausage and breakfast potatoes. This fantastic breakfast buffet is available for non-hotel guests to purchase at the front desk for just $5.95.
