Bring your own picnic basket, or pick up a delicious meal from the many food vendors! Stake out a place on the lawn and listen to DJ Big Ern rock from the central courtyard from 3 - 10 pm. The kids can beat the heat on the inflatable water slide throughout the day and the Yakima Valley Fire Department will have an aerial truck shooting water into a play area from 2 - 6 pm. The National Anthem will be sung at 9:55 pm, followed by fireworks beginning at 10 pm for a 20-minute show. Listen to the patriotic music simulcast on KXDD at 10 pm which will be synched to the fireworks!

If you’re looking to light off your own fireworks, be warned: all fireworks are illegal in most of Yakima County. However, it is legal to set off your own fireworks in Zillah on July 3rd and 4th, Moxee on July 4th only, and anytime in Granger and Mabton. See the chart below for more information. We hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July!
